Bought as part of the BCUK NSSSSS mission, June 2005. (NSSSSS: not so secret summer solstice surprise!) I hope that the recipient likes it - it was on her wishlist, which is why I bought it... ;)

Sorry that there wasn't your actual favourite chocolate in with it, but I ran out of time to go to the right shops to get it! But you ought to still enjoy the book!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

Okay, so it's not strictly a RABCK, but it's one of the shortcuts in my crossing zones list, and it isn't far off!
Sent yesterday, with a note on the package that it's not to be opened until 21-June when we'll all open our parcels together :)
How exciting!!!

Thanks so much Katie1980 for this book. It's been on my wishlist for a while now (although strangely enough it's a book that I'd never even heard of BBC [before BookCrossing!]) This is the first NSS I've participated in and it's been a lot of fun.

The sweeties will go down VERY nicely too ... thank you very much!

I loved this book, as I knew I would! I already had a good background knowledge of the Tudor period, Henry's Great Matter, the Reformation and so on but this book is really interesting in that you see it all from a more feminist perspective than usual. My only complaint is that the diary format is a little stilted. It does not seem realistic, for example, that Anne would explain to her diary why she spent time in France, but of course the reader needs this information and it has to be passed on somehow!

This page offers lots of background information, including further reading (novels and biographies).

Once again, thanks to Katie1980 for NSSSSS-ing this to me!

Lent to my Mum. I know that she's already started reading it, and I hope she enjoys it.

This is a book where fact and fiction are beautifully blended together. It is such a convincing read that you are transported to another time and place and feel that you are seeing and listening with someone else's ears and eyes. This was a book, I could not put down for long.

This has been languishing on my bookshelf for too long, so I'm sending it out as a
Bookring

Some brief "rules"
* Journal the book when you receive it.
* PM the next person on the list for their address when you receive it so as to try to avoid hold-ups later on.
* If you don't hear from the next participant within a few days, PM them again. If after a few more days you still haven't heard from them, PM me to let me know, and move on to the next person on the list.
* Read (and hopefully enjoy!) Don't feel pressurised to read it in a rush (and life gets in the way sometimes!) but if you need to keep hold of the book for longer than say a couple of months, please journal to let us know.
* Journal again when you've read it to let us know what you think of it!
* Surface/economy mail is fine, but please make a note in the JE so the person you're sending to has a rough idea of when to expect it.
