Jill Mansell is my favourite chick-lit author and this book is one of her best!

Funny, very interesting plot with unexpected twists and turns that didn't let me to put it down.

Synopsis:
"Parties full of strangers bore artist Tessa Duvall to death, but she reluctantly agrees to accompany her best friend Holly to this one. Whilst Holly sets about ensnaring Max, Tessa accepts the attentions of his brother Ross, expecting nothing but a sensational one-night stand."

Organizing bookray - PM me if you want to participate!

Journal Entry 6 by rem_DUV-129661 on Monday, September 5, 2005
It's finally here:) Thank you Nikel 27 for sending it all the way to Romania!

contains SPOILERS!!!

7 September 05: I enjoyed more Head over Heels by the same author. I didn't like any of the characters and their decisions seemed to be taken randomly (well maybe there was one aim: to avoid the ending of the book!); to give some examples:
* Tessa was leaving Ross every chapter (even without a good reason!)
* Holly was obsessed with Max even though he treated her really, really awful - oh well, at least he realised that he loved her after Francine left him for good!
Sorry for being so cynical. It was a "summer read" and that's why I enjoy this type of book but this time the characters were really getting on my nerves!

I just hope the other readers will appreciate the book more than I did. And of course I'll read Jill Mansell books in the future - it is relaxing!

Thank you asterw for organising the ray!!!

13 September 05: mailed today to Margih

So sorry, I´m late with this ring but have been a bit busy with rings :) I have just started to read this one but due to coming Xmas I´m not able to finish this book in week or maybe even two. But I´ll do my best..

Journal Entry 9 by Margih from Tampere, Pirkanmaa / Birkaland Finland on Saturday, December 31, 2005
So, Solo is finished and shipped to Cass01 (on Tuesday Dec. 27). I´m sorry again for keeping the book so long.

About the book.. I had a bit difficulties to concentrate on it at the beginning but after about 70 -or so- pages it started to be interesting. This differs from other chic-lit books as it is more "deeper", not only shopping and having fun. This was the first book of this author but surely not the last one. Thanks Asterw, for sharing!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Journal Entry 15 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Tuesday, April 4, 2006
Wow I wasn't expecting this! I have so many bookrings/rays on the way to me and this wasn't one I thought was going to be coming! Luckily it has beat all the other ones so it will be the next book I read. I absolutely love Jill Mansell so I am really happy to have another one to tick of the list!

If anyone really likes Jill Mansell and wants to read more of her books I have quite a few rings running for them so send me a PM :)

Anyway...thanks to Asterw for starting this ray and thanks to tabyorky for sending this on to me.

Journal Entry 16 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Thursday, April 6, 2006
I started this yesterday and used every spare moment to read it and finished about half an hour ago. I have loved every single Jill Mansell book I have read and this one was no exception. Sure there were some weird and annoying traits that the characters had but it didn't make the whole story any less interesting.

As always I felt there were a few loose ends and expected another chapter. I wanted to know how Mattie's life carried on and how Ross, Max, Holly and Tessa got along after everything. The only thing I didn't like about the story was the death. I thought it was unfair on the character's left behind. I won't say more though as it could ruin it for the future readers.

I already PM'd Lulubookish when the book arrived but I haven't heard from her. I do have an address for her but I know she has moved since then. Anyway the book is here and is safe and as soon as I have an address I will send it on.

Thanks again Asterw for making this ring possible and thanks to Tabyorky for sending the book on to me!
