Saw this and just couldn't resist. The cover is so rich and luxurious, I thought the story must at least attempt to match it.

I've also been interested in reading about New Zealand and Australia lately, so it fits in well with my current trend! Was very enjoyable, and I see now why so many people have Rose Tremain on their wishlists.

Thank you, kangaroo, for my lovely NSS parcel!!!!! As well as containing this book from my wish list (which does have a gorgeous cover!) I've got a bar of my favourite yummy scrummy Green and Black's white chocolate, a beautiful brass bookmark and a lovely little device for holding papers together - it's far too lovely to use for bills though!
