The First Elizabeth
4 journalers for this copy...
Using up the pre-registered labels I discovered I still had when the system changed over. I bought this one at the local Friends of the Library book sale back in the spring.
I enjoyed this biography, which read more like a story being told than as a dry history. Erickson concentrated a lot on Elizabeth's love-life, which makes sense since whether and whom she would marry were major concerns of the first decades of her reign. I've read other bios of Elizabeth in the past, and this really didn't tell me a lot new to me, but it was engaging, easy to sink into, and reflective of the period.

Finally found some time to sit down and read this. Sorry I've had it so very long. I really enjoyed this book. I Wish I'd made a journal entry when I'd finished it!
