I can't get into this book. The story doesn't appeal to me at all and I find myself dreading the thought of having to plough my way through 500 pages of this, so I'll PM the next person on the list and send it on. I guess my teenage love for Anne Rice novels can't be revived, at least not by this one.
There are a couple of books in front of this one, so it'll have to get in line...
I am very disappointed with this book... Although I haven't read anything by Anne Rice, I saw the movie Interview with the Vampire, and had a very different idea about her work... Her description of vampires, specially the idea that they are gay, doesn't go well with my concept of a vampire - maybe I just read the wrong books, but I thought that they were supposed to have a different kind of erotic symbolism... Also, she uses too much sex scenes, and in my point of view, they are quite unnecessary to the story. The relationship between Armand and the Master in my point of view, is a bit inappropriate, cause it seems a bit pedophile...
I tried, but I can't read it all the way through to the end... I decided that it better go to the next person, maybe he/she will appreciate it more. I have better things to read...

Finished reading it in the last minutes of the year 2005! To be the last book os the year it was a bit disapointing...
I love Anne Rice, but this particular book I think it's too slow, I caught myself wishing it would end already! Or that something happends!
Since I already knew the story from Marius' point of view I think that0s why it seemed it was dragging itself from page to page, getting more streched and thinner by the chapter.
I liked it anyway and will sendi it on to the next as soon as I have an address.
