John Wyndham, as always, continues to be my favourite author. His stories are entertaining, exciting, and cause you to think outside of the plot. To be fair, this book did have weak integration between the Utopian dream bringing the characters to the island and the actaul spiders (along with the island's history), but the writing was good, the themes were good, and the characters were good. I loved it.

This was passed to me by Juicy Comrade. I finished this book off in a night, reading the last words at about midnight. Creepy! At least for the circumstances I was reading it. I understand this book was published posthumously, so it lacks a bit of the polish, however it was a good read. Arachnaphobes beware.
