"This is the story of Clare and Henry, who have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six, and were married when Clare was twenty-two and Henry thirty. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity in his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing." I liked it as it made me think about each moment I spend with the people I love and how they could easily be gone. To be offered as my first Book Ring

This arrived in the post today with some chocolately goodness. Thank you, Heather! I've added this to my TBR pile and it's third on the list after two other ring books. I'll try and get through them as quickly as I can! Edit: I'm reading this at the moment and it's brilliant so far. Unfortunately my Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince has just arrived so I'm in a bit of a book quandry!

Many apologies for the delay in journalling the book post-read. It got a little lost in the huge pile of books on my desk. A fantastic book, which I enjoyed immensely. The story is so well written and the jumping around in time, although a little confusing at first, is wonderfully dealt with. Highly recommended and I will be buying a copy for my personal collection. I've PMed aubriel for an address and will send it on as soon as I can.

This was a lovely read. Around the time I started to read someone commented that it was a good book, but rather odd the way the story moves around. Well I must read far too much sci fi/fantasy because I wouldn't really have thought much of it if it hadn't been for that conversation. Overall, I found it a poigniant and ultimately bittersweet story.
