Staying at Daisy's
16 journalers for this copy...
Daisy MacLean runs the country house hotel owned by her flamboyant father, Hector. When she hears who's about to get married there, she isn't worried at all - her friend Tara absolutely promises there won't be any trouble between her and ex-boyfriend Dominic, whom she hasn't seen for years. But Dominic has other ideas...
Meanwhile, Hector's getting up to all sorts with...well, that's the village's best kept secret. And then Barney turns up, with a little something belonging to the husband Daisy's been doing her best to forget. That's the thing about hotels, you never know who you're going to meet. Or whether they're going to stay...
Unfortunately I opened it 'after' I had hoovered up LOL, so I got my toddler to pick up the shiny stars for me :o)
Thanks for the book, I will now cross of my wishlist, and then journal again when I have read it!
Katybean
To go to tabyorky after me!!
I really enjoyed this book, and found it a quick and entertaining read - I'm glad that Daisy ended up with who she did!!
This book is going to go with another book (which I shall be reading very soon) to Tabyorky, as I'm going to post the two books together.
Thank you for the Western Mail (packing)!! I will be reading this and doing the puzzles! (even though it is a week old). I will be keeping hold of it to use for teaching! Actually if this package hadn't of had a Jill Mansell book in it I would of been happier about the Newspaper! hehe
Will start a ring with this book when I am done with it.
I got 4 more of her books in the post yesterday so there are loads of Mansell rings coming up ;)
When you are finished with the book please PM the next person on the list and ask for their address so you can send it on to them!
Also let us know what you thought of the book but don't give too much away!
Lastly if you have nicer bookcrossing labels or stickers then decorate the book a little! Also stick a postcard from your country in with a message! Could be fun :)
This Bookring is still open! Pm if you would like to join!

By the way, good idea re jokes! One Q: am I meant to take one and keep it as a souvenir, add something instead, or take one, journal it and put it back?
[edit: now I've read your journal entry, I understand - no need to answer the Q :) ]
Looking forward to reading this - might take me a few days to get around to it :)
Released 18 yrs ago (3/20/2006 UTC) at St Aldates PO in Oxford, Oxfordshire United Kingdom
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Fun book! I think I possibly enjoyed Miranda's Big Mistake more, but probably only because I read it first. Methinks I detect some plot and character similarities... I'm getting another Jill Mansell book soon (again, courtesy of Amberkatze's bookring organisational skills ;) ), so I guess I'll be able to see whether she does much differently.
(By the way: not saying there's anything wrong with this!)
I did enjoy it - it was a great escape from reality :)
Anyway, I posted it on to LindyLouMac this afternoon. Thanks to Amberkatze for arranging the ring!
I will be sending this on to Blaisezabini12 later this week.

Thank you LindyLouMac for mailing this to me (and for the lovely postcard:) ) and thank you Amber for another Jill Mansell ring!
16 April 06: as promised I've already finished this book.
What I find surprising about the novels written by J.Mansell, is the way in which even though the background of the story is a small village/town it is still populated by gorgeous men and women and that in the end everyone finds someone! (even the dogs or cats:) )
I have pmed the next reader for the address and I hope that the book will be on its way real soon.
26 April 06: mailed today!
Update: I sent this on some time ago although it may have got caught in slow Christmas post - so it may just be delayed. Canada Post is terrible!
I was actually trying to read two Jill Mansell books at the same time. One in my purse when I'm out on errands or at Starbucks and one at home. This book won and I carried it with me everywhere and read it at home!
I'm contacting mellonhead for her address.

This was such a fun read. One of my favorite chick-lit writers, Mansell makes her characters so real. I've Pm'd Lulubookish for her address.
