I picked this up at the local Community Center book exchange. I have seen it on lots of wish list. I think it is on mine too. I look forward to reading it.

I had previously read Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by this author and found it only mildly entertaining. The same can be said for Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister. I didn't hate it, nor was I throughly caught up in it. That said, I love the idea of retelling a fairy tale in novel form.
The story vaguely resembles the tale of Cinderella with her step-sisters and step-mother. The changes to the fairy tale are numerous as to make the events seem realistic rather than magical.
