Sam's letters to Jennifer
12 journalers for this copy...
This is a book that I accidentally got through a book club. Available for trade!
Book arrived today. Thank you realbooklover!! I look forward to reading this then passing it along when I'm finished.
I finished Sam's Letters to Jennifer early this morning. I have to say from page 1 I was hooked. I simply didn't want to put it down, although I had since I do have to work.
This book is now part of a bookray!
A bookray is when a book is sent from one person to another through a list of members who have signed up for it. When the last person on the list receives the book they can do with it as they choose--start a new ray or ring, release it into the wild, give it to a friend--whatever!
Here are the guidelines for this bookray:
1. When the person before you on the list is done reading the book they will send you a personal message (PM) asking you for your address. If you feel that you are too busy at that time to read the book within a reasonable time period (about 1 month), ask that person to skip you and go to the next person on the list. If this happens, PM me to let me know what’s going on and, if you want, I may be able to move you down the list so you can try again later.
2. When you receive the book, make a journal entry letting everyone know where the book is. Keep in mind that there are other people waiting to read the book after you, so try not to take too long to read it. A general rule of thumb is to have the book in your possession for no longer than one month. If you know you won’t be able to get to the book within a month, pass it on to the next person on the list, PM me letting me know, and I can move you down the list so you can try again later if you’d like. If you’re reading the book and it’s taking you longer than expected to finish, make a journal entry letting everyone know! Remember, there’s no such thing as too many journal entries.
3. When you’re done (or almost done) reading the book, send a PM to the next person on the list asking for their address. Even if you think you already know that person’s address, it’s a good idea to double-check to make sure their address hasn’t changed—and also make sure the list order hasn’t changed since you checked it last. If the next person on the list doesn’t respond to your PM within several days, try again. If you still get no response within one week, PM me to let me know what’s going on and then skip this person and try the next person on the list.
4. After you’ve finished the book, journal a quick review of it for us letting us know what you thought of it!
5. Send the book to the next person on the list and post a journal entry letting everyone know it’s on its way. Sit back, relax, and watch the journals as the book completes its journey!
I'm going to leave this bookray open to new members until the book gets to the last person on the list.

RELEASE NOTES:
Sent to southernfryed via media mail.
Book arrived today. Will journal again when I am finished reading it. I am looking forward to a good read, have had way too many disappointments lately. Thanks.
I absolutely could not put this book down! I read it in 2 days. My sister and a friend also read it. We all enjoyed it. I am putting it in the mail today to jpd.
Well add me to the list of hooked readers. Was waiting for me when I got home yesterday. And either it kept me sane through a bit of insomnia last night or CAUSED my insomnia last night. An excellently told story. Thank you so much for sharing. My mind is still wrapping around all the nuances of relationships that this book makes you ponder.
Off to see who is next.

Just received this book today...will get to it very quickly, have been wanting to read it for some time now. Thanks!
I enjoyed reading this book, but then I have liked most of his books. He writes well in different areas, something that isn't always true with all authors. Sending it off to the next person in line today.
I'll get on this ASAP. Just got it. Thanks!
Great book. Fast read. Not normally one I would have picked but I like the author. I loved the book.

Mailed out to kayjay33. Enjoy!
The book was in my mailbox today. Poor timing for me as I am leaving on Sunday for a holiday. I don't want to take the book with me in case I lose it, so it will have to wait until I get home on Nov.2. I don't think it will take long to read once I get at it . Sorry for the delay.
What a sweet poignant story. It moved me to tears more than once.James Patterson is noted for his mystery stories but writes a wonderful love story too. I will be sending it off to Britain as soon as I get the address.

RELEASE NOTES:
I sent the book off to England today, to anglersrest. It is going by slow boat so will take awhile to get there.
Arrived this morning to a very autumnal Devon, having across the Atlantic. Thanks for sending. This is ring number 10; and I am so glad that I have 4 days off over Christmas to plough my way through that lot! Should be moving though within the month.
What a beautiful story. Full of rich emotional characters dealing with real issues that we all face in life.
Jennifer has had a tragic and sad past. Her grandmother has been her friend, family, support and her rock. Suddenly, Sam is in hospital, seriously ill and Jennifer has to strong for her grandmother. Meanwhile, Jennifer discovers a series of letters left for her by her grandmother and as she reads them her grandmother's life unfolds along with a few secrets. Jennifer also builds a new relationship with an old friend and as she falls in love, she discovers the course of true love is never smooth and fair. Despite, lots of sad bits there are some happy endings. Thanks for sharing a wonderful book and I shall probably get one for my PC.
I have PMed emac52 and as soon as I have an address the book will be in the post.
I now have emac52's address, so this is in the post today. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did, it is a fabulous book.
Received this in the post this morning - my first ring/ray! I'll try to read it quickly and get it moving on to the next person as soon as possible.
I couldn't wait to get started on this, and I didn't want to hold up the ray. Unfortunately (for me at least) I sat down to read 'just a few chapters' and before I knew it, I'd read the whole book. I just love it when that happens. I have to agree with most of the above comments - this isn't what you would usually expect from James Patterson, but it proves just how versatile a writer he is. This is a rather moving story, dealing with love, loss and how we are able to cope and move on from even the most heartbreaking events in our lives. I particularly liked the mix of straightforward narrative and letters.
***
I've PM'd Pinkmanager for her post address, as I've finished this.
I've now got kathhep's address as Pinkmanager is too busy at the moment, so I'll be posting this off to Australia today. Happy travels!
Received this book yesterday. Thanks emac52. Starting reading.....NOW......HEHE
A lovely story, easy to read and I enjoyed it. Thanks for offering it in book ray. Contacted hshah so this book is off to India. Hope you enjoy it.....
