Murder on Washington Square

I love this series. Sure, the solution to the mystery telegraphs itself loudly, but that's not the point. The historical details, the rich characterizations...I am only sorry that I have read all four in the series.
The almost painful slowness with which the heroine and hero further their relationship seems like it would be a frustration, but it is actually enjoyable. It fits in with the milieu of the book.
