Found this in my favourite shop in Zuerich, the enormous and fantastic second hand bookstore Buecher Brocky!

Haven't read any Barabara Trapido, but the cover looked nice, and the write up on the back was promising...

I absolutely loved this book, and will definitely find more of Trapido's novels to read. This was a cleverly written novel which combined my passions of music, German and literature. You care about all the characters and their lives intertwine. Each chapter is written from a different character's perspective, and the book is truly unputdownable!
