Now here's an author I haven't heard of before. Picked up as part of a bargain book pack on ebay - described as "an eerie story of generations and love, of police corruption and a city's changing terrain, and of searching for that one place in the world you can finally say is home".

It's also described as "a very Sicilian love story". Wombles will have to tell me how that distinguishes it from other love stories - am sending it to her cos it was on her wishlist.
