One of my 5p-from-the-library-sale-shelf bargains. Will be added to Mt TBR rather than the wild release pile.

An interesting read - it reminded me in some ways of the autobiographical parts of Margaret Foster's Hidden Lives. I was particularly impressed with Sage's achievements in sitting A-levels just days after giving birth, and getting to university. (I hope that doesn't come across as sounding horribly patronising.)

This reading group guide poses some thought-provoking questions.

Sage died in 2001.

I'm going to take this to the Peterborough meetup in The Draper's Arms tomorrow.
