Journal Entry 1 by Ellistown-OBCZ from Coalville, Leicestershire United Kingdom on Tuesday, May 10, 2005
The Idea To take books that have remained stagnant at the OBCZ and send them on a journey whilst the community centre is closed for summer. Other OBCZ managers may choose as many or as few books as they would like for their OBCZ and can use the bookbox as an opportunity to allow some of the more permanent books at their OBCZ to travel. Other bookcrossers may particpate choosing books from the box and replacing them with other books. The contents of the box when it returns can be released at Ellistown OBCZ in September. The Rules No one likes rules, but there always rules. To be included please PM catrionamoore. This box must be fast moving. Only people who agree to move it on quickly will be included as the box will start its travels around the end of June/begining of July and needs to be returned by the very begining of September. Please make sure the box is reasonably full. I will not be pedantic and insist you replace the same number of books as you remove as this may not be logistically viable. If the box needs replacing please do so. A box sent Standard Parcel may be up to 1.5 metres long but it's combined length and girth must not exceed 3 metres. Particpants - For the new round of particpants please see the JE from Catriona at the bottom

Journalling as me but will catch and release the books as Hudsons-Bham. Received from caffcaff yesterday when she came to the Birmingham meetup at the Hudsons-Bham OBCZ. Brought some books back from the OBCZ to add to the box and will pick some out tomorrow. I have anglers-rest's address but am seeing weebly next Saturday - would it be a good idea to amend the order so I can pop it to her next week? Let me know by Tuesday, otherwise will post to Anglers-Rest.

Journal Entry 16 by catrionamoore from Ellistown, Leicestershire United Kingdom on Thursday, September 08, 2005
Arrived safely home this morning. Thank you to everyone who took part, I've already had a couple of catches from other OBCZ's from books that I put in the box so I hope everyone else gets a catch or two. Yesterday the community centre was looking a little lacking in books, yet today someone has filled two shelves! I have decided to split the contents of this box between my OBCZ and the one at Sutton Cheney. Anyone ready for another one?

Thank you everyone. I note that the box is due back to its home toute suite so I will be quick taking out / replacing books. I am also planning to start 2 new OBCZs in Rivington, near Bolton, Lancs so some of the books will go towards that too (hope that doesn't break the rules) I particularly like the Harry Potter keyrings, donated by geetheflea.

Journal Entry 26 by veganknitter from Bolton, Greater Manchester United Kingdom on Saturday, September 15, 2007
Having had a rummage in this lovely box, I decided to take out the books that had originated at Ellistown OBCZ as it would be a bit rotten if they went all the way home again. So I took out: "The Man's Book" (3 novels) "Of Life and Love" - A Reader's Digest book of 3 books The Rat-a-Tat Mystery by Enid Blyton A Reader's Digest condensed book of 4 books Angel - The Casefile Rune Might Sins of the Fathers by Susan Howatch Eternity by Greg Bear The Unconquerable by Helen MacInnes Glamara by Sara Hylton Firefox Down by Craig Thomas Dr Who and the Genesis of the Daleks. All of these are destined for OBCZs, apart from the Dr Who book which I plan to wild release at the Who Shop in East Ham, Rune Might, which I will pass onto a pagan friend (or wild release), and Angel - The Casefiles which, erm, I am keeping (blush). I shall put at least 12 books back. I plan to have a blitz of the Bolton Community College OBCZ on Monday, plus look through my availables of which I have many.

Journal Entry 31 by catrionamoore from Ellistown, Leicestershire United Kingdom on Thursday, October 18, 2007
The journal, and more importantly its accompanying box have returned home today. Thank you again to everyone for particpating. There are three books that tickled my fancy - a perk of the job - and the rest shall be distributed between my OBCZ in the community centre here in Ellistown and in the church at Sutton Cheney. The Ellistown OBCZ will be closed for a week next week as it is half term. It will also be the following week when I am passing the church and will be able to drop some of the books there too. So round two is home...who is ready for round three?
