Journal Entry 1 by danesnboxers from Union, Missouri USA on Sunday, May 01, 2005
From the Publisher: How could it possibly be true? But it is true. As Janie Johnson glanceed at the face of the ordinary little girl on the milk carton, she was overcome with shock. She recognized that little girl-it was herself.. With the mystery of her kidnapping now unraveled, Janie's story continues and the nightmare is not over. No one can bring back or relive the 12 years gone by. The Spring family wants justice, but who is really to blame? The Johnsons know that they must abide by the decisions made, but its difficult to figure out what's best for everyone. Janie Johnson or Jennie Spring? Who is she? Certainly there's enough love for everyone, but how can the 2 separate families live happily ever after?

Journal Entry 2 by sarradee from Dallas, Texas USA on Tuesday, May 24, 2005
Arrived in the mail today from bookrelay. Thanks! 5/25/05 This one was a really quick read, and I needed a break from "required" reading. I'd read The Face on the Milk Carton years ago, and saw this on the relay site, so figured I should find out what happened. Janie/Jennie discovered that she had been kidnapped 12 years ago after seeing her face on a milk carton. This is the story of what happens when she returns to the family she was stolen from. Ultimately, she has to decide if she's Jennie or Janie, and both families have to deal with the repercussions. It's a book intended for teens, so it doesn't have the depth that a more adult rendition would. But it was a satisfying read, in that I did come to care about the protagonist, and wonder what was going to happen. All in all, a decent way to spend a couple of hours this afternoon. Reoffering on the bookrelay site. Wow! That was quick. Mailing to Karendawn in the morning.

The book arrived today. Thank you! (I saw The Face on the Milk Carton at my UBS yesterday, but couldn't remember if I'd requested this book or not, so I didn't get it. I'll be going back to pick it up soon, so I can read it before reading this one. --Got it May 28, 2005) Books in this series: The Face on the Milk Carton Whatever Happened to Janie? Janie tries to adjust to being Jennie. I found the feelings of the characters to be very realistic, and I liked seeing the different points of view.

Journal Entry 7 by meshe from Bonaire, Georgia USA on Sunday, August 07, 2005
Thank goodness I had this one when I finished The Face on the Milk Carton. This book was a great follow up to the story started in the other. It was tough to read about how pulled Janie was. It was realistic though since in any situation like this no one comes out a winner. Everyone involved loses something. I hope that in the subsequent books, some manner of closure is achieved for both families.
