San Francisco: a city cloaked in fog and haunted by superstition. A city where people are disappearing, dying, and worse.
The Fog City Satan doesn't kill by any pattern the police can discover... but he kills, and kills, and kills again - brutally terrifyingly, and completely without warning.
Police detective Larry Foggia finds that his only real clues are supernatural - like the ghostly face that appears on his own palm, and tells him secrets not even he knew. He can no longer doubt that the Fog City Satan is no ordinary serial killer, no madman to be tracked and trapped by conventional means.
The gruesome killings are only the beginning. The insatiable Master of Lies, a demon from man's oldest legends, is coming. First it will feed on minds, then on flesh, and finally on the souls of all in San Francisco.

I knew I wouldn't be able to resist starting this book!

I read all the Graham Masterton books I can get my hands on but I have to say I found the first chapter of this book quite distressing! When the blurb says the killer is sadistic & cruel, it ain't kidding -not a book to start reading last thing at night if you're alone!

Masterton always delivers & this book is no exception - another gripping read from, in my opinion, the Master of Horror.

Thanks Sublevel4 for sending it to me. It's now going in to my permanent collection....unless someone wants to trade for a Masterton book I've not read.

Read as part of The 2009 ULTIMATE CHALLENGE....& it might just qualify as a themed read, as for March it's "The Garden" - there's an embedded ASTER in the title :o)
