Journal Entry 1 by Lisagt from Holsworthy, New South Wales Australia on Friday, April 22, 2005
This is the bizarre story of three nuns, Iphigenia, Margarita and Carla who live an isolated existence in a forgotten monastery. They pray, they do their daily tasks and they knit and tell stories that entwine myth and fairy tale into their lives. Life continues this way until one day their strange but peaceful existence is invaded by Father Ignatius who has been sent to check out the state of the monastery with the hope of finding prime real estate. The nuns cannot allow their home to be sold and take action with unimaginable results...

an unusual book. not too often a book about 3 nuns kidnapping a priest comes along. well written. i liked the way the stories of the 3 nuns and how they came to be where they were was interwoven in the story.

thanks for sharing Lisagt

I just can't get into this one. I've given it the 100 page test but I'm not going to finish it. I don't like any of the characters so I won't force myself, I'll read something else instead.

I'll send this on to EDDI once I receive an address.

This was a very interesting book. I wish that the nuns had been described sooner though, because the image that I had in my head was not at all like they were described when Ignatius came along! Thanks for sharing this, it will be on its way soon to JeSuisBelle!
