Journal Entry 3 by guinaveve from Mason, Ohio USA on Thursday, June 16, 2005
Hmmm...What can I say about this book??? It was really odd. The whole book is a long phone conversation between two strangers who call a phone sex type hotline number. I thought it would be more sexy than it was, but was interesting, it kept me wanting to read until the end. The conversation they had focused on sex, but included strange little asides, too. One thing I did notice was that the technology mentioned really dated the book. For instance, they mention VCRs implying they were a luxury, when they became first commonplace and then a little outdated since the book was written having been replaced by DVD players. Music cassettes are also mentioned as opposed to CDs. Everytime stuff like this came up, I was yanked out of the story mentally. All in all, it was a good book, but not something I would recommend as erotica. The couple using their own made-up sexual words for body parts and actions totally took away any erotic feel the book had. This book is definately not wild release material.

Well I disagree with guinaveve. I thought parts of it were pretty erotic. But it actually is also wothwhile read and funny, and a strole down memory lane with all the old stuff.

Wasn't that fussed about this one! I wasn't expecting it to be just a phone sex kinda thing, It was entertaining and interesting though, and I did find it funny in parts - but it wasn't really my thing.
