Will take some time till I can read it - we'll be flying together to Singapore next month where I will release it after the lecture..
Well... Certainly Franzen is a good writer and I was hoping to develop more interest in American literature than I had so far. Didn't work. This book about the weird (or normal?) psychological processes in an American family never really touched me, did not meet my asthetic expectations. So I will set it free that it may find a better reader.

I was at a German sausage stall in the middle of Chinatown. Yes!!! A German sausage store! This store is quite famous in Singapore as it has been shown on TV, the programme was talking about the Austrian owner that had set up home here on this tiny island. So there i was, going to get a bratwurst after my Salsa class, when i saw The Corrections lying on a huge barrel at the stall. I saw the label and was extremely curious... A free book??? For a bookworm like me, that was like striking lottery LOL. Anyway, i asked the stallperson if that book belongs to them, she said, it didn't. So i took it. When i found out that it is a "travelling book," i was so amused. I'm gonna read and release it...
