This is the first book of the second volume, and it does not appear that we have the other books in the set. Anyway, this book contains the "greatest science fiction novellas of all time" (as of 1973, anyway) as "chosen by the members of the Science Fiction Writers of America." I don't believe Pax has read this yet, so I'm taking it to him.

Pax wasn't all that impressed with most of the stories in this book, so I read only "The Time Machine" by HG Wells. Interesting novella, and now I'd like to see the movie versions. I think it would be interesting to see how different directors dealt with the social commentary in the original story.

I released this at Meetup tonight. I think atrek may have taken it home.

Okay, I am a really bad bookcrosser at times...I recently found this book after the last meetup somehow mixed up with them, which was this past week in June. Sorry stinalyn! Anyway, I also picked up this book because of The Time Machine, and then I will pass it on to another Sci-Fi fan.
