Orlando starts as a man in Elizabethan times and ends up a woman in the 1920s (when the book was written).
Not a long book, only 162 pages. I will re-read it, but not just yet, so I'm ringing it.

Arrived this morning from nut. I will get to this as soon as I can, I have two rings in front of this one.
Enjoyed, but there is no answer to why Orlando wanted to change sexes nor why he lived so long.

I received Orlando in the mail on Friday, but didn't get achance to journal until today. I am almost finished with my current book and it will be next on my tbr list.
At first, I found Orlando difficult to read. About a third of the way into the book I decided to do a little research on Virgina Woolf. This is the first novel of her's that I have read and am embarrassed to say that I knew absolutely nothing about her. I found her life both fascinating and tragic. I also learned a little more about her relationship with Vita Sackville-West who was the model for Orlando. This information brought a whole new dimension to the book for me and I started reading again with much more interest. Anyway, I enjoyed the fanciful story and I really liked the way seemless way that Orlando glided through the centuries and changed sexes, as if it was completely normal and no explantions necessary.
Thanks for including me!

Never go round to re-reading, but it'll be an easy one to get out of the library, and seems like a good book to release at a science fiction/fantasy convention, so goodbye little book.
