First of all, I'm terribly sorry that it's taken forever for me to write a review for this book and also to send it off to the next person on the list. Amidst moving house last month quite a few things got side-tracked and I'm now trying to catch up with Bookcrossing.

As for the book, it wasn't my favourite Joanne Harris book (that is still Chocolat), but it also wasn't my least favourite by this author. It was a big meaty story full of high melodrama, which is, considering some of the themes of the book, what she intended. It was entertaining though I did feel that it was a bit too long and I only read to the end just to get to the end and see what happened, but not because I was enjoying it greatly by that point.
