Finished this about a week ago (Sept. 20) and this book was quite interesting. I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I mean, I suppose I missed something, or I didn't really read this book for symbolism, something. It just seems like a bunch of things that happened to an apathetic man, or maybe that is the point of the book? However, if I had to take a theme from this book, I suppose it would be fear... for the reader to reflect upon. Fear: of doubt, of loneliness... however, a fear that the character was aware of; but also numb to as well. Am I making sense? Anyway, as I said, quite interesting, however, it also made me feel uncomfortable, almost as if there was a complete void of emotion. Interesting indeed, thank you dospescados for sending this my way! :-)

I got the book at the BookCrossers convention in Charleston while I was sitting at the Trident Literacy table. I had never read it. When I saw it I knew it was a sign for me to finally read it. So I did. Thank you.
