This seems to be the very first book in the "Trapped In..." series. Jake turns into his dorky teacher, Mr. Dirksen. And, worse, Mr. Dirksen turns into Jake and he doesn't want to change back!

Jake has gotten in trouble again and has to carry a box for his science teacher. When it starts to rain and thunder, his teacher says he will have to stay there for awhile and Jake could help him hook up his machine. Suddenly lightening hits his science teacher's house. They both switch bodies. The teacher doesn't want to switch back. Can Jake convince him to switch?
