(from the back cover)
March 1943. Inside Britain's codebreaking centre at Bletchley Park, the cryptanalysts are facing their worst nightmare: Nazi Germany's U-boats have unexpectedly changed their Enigma cipher, and the Battle of the Atlantic suddenly hangs in the balance.

The authorities turn for help to Tom Jerico, a brilliant young mathemetician and codebreaker. What follows is a frantic race to crack the U-boat code. But Jericho has another equally baffling enigma of his own to unravel: the woman he love has disappeared, and he suspects there may be a spy in Bletchley.

This is a gripping, atmospheric read, although the maths / code-breaking stuff was a bit above my head!
I have chosen this book as my release for Cody's Release -the only book I own with a WW2 theme....

This is my favourite spot in Zurich, a beautful view and a good place for a few moments of quiet reflection - except when all the students are outside having their lunch - I got the timing wrong today :-)
