I guess I'm not in a chick-lit mood at the moment because I struggled a bit to get through the book. I kind of lost interest halfway and it was travelgirl33's journal entry that helped me persevere. I enjoyed the story of Jojo (the literary agent) the most.

just thought id give an update. im about 1/3 through and totally enjoying it. Im sorry its taking me so long, just got inundated with rings. will get it finished asap (im on annual leave from work, so more time to read.)

loved it! loved it! loved it! didnt want to put it down. this is my second marian keyes but i have a few still on my TBR. The other i have read was last chance saloon. if i had to choose a fave id say this one (but only cos ive just read it and the other i read about a year ago). Loved the main characters! thought jojo was a kickass, strong person. thought gemma was a hoot!

This was a lovely quick (even though lots of pages) read. I quickly got into the characters, and was hooked all the way through!

Enchantedwoods - I did pm you asking if I could replace this book with a smaller version (this is huuuuuge for international posting), and give it the BCID - I'd then either RABCK your copy (with a new BCID but share with everyone) or wild release. You didn't reply - don't know if you got the pm or not, please could you let me know before I contact the next bookcrosser in Portugal.

Well,,,,,, I've made an executive descision!! I have pm'd Enchantedwoods several times and not had a reply (hope she is ok!).

I bought another copy of this book - which is considerably smaller, and I have registered it, and then swapped the bcid's over. I just figured it would be more suitable for international mailing. Hope this is ok with everyone, and sorry for the delay, but I have been waiting for answers.

I have Fantasma's address so will mail it out to her - the smaller book!!

Finished it! Loved it! :)
I must admit I was a bit worried, not everyone had enjoyed the book and 647 pages to read was a lot if it wasn't good, but I've to say this is my fave Marian Keyes book so far.
I loved Jojo, she's so strong, even though she's the one whose finale I didn't like. Hopless romantic, me? Perhaps. Gemma was such an annoyable girl! Argh. And so many times I wished I could slap Lily!! ;op But they turn out to be good girls and I wouldn't have liked the story so much if it wasn't for them too.


Now... I've asked EnchantedWoods at the beggining of the book to put all the portuguese readers together. In the order in her profile it still says that countessa-uk is after me but I'm going to give the book to Virgulina or Elsita first because I see them often, let the book travel in Portugal and then go away. It's easier, quicker, safer and cheaper ;o)

I'm sorry I've taken so long to get to this book but my TBR pile just seems to get bigger and bigger. Regardless of its size this is a quick read as it's such an engaging story. I have to confess I didn't much like any of the characters, Gemma and Lily were too whiny and Jojo was too indecisive, although she was the best of the trio. All of their characters get better towards the end and I don't much agree with Fantasma about Jojo's ending, I thought she did the right thing, finally learning to fend for herself and giving Mark what he deserved. In a way she was better off!
I will certainly want to read more of Marian Keyes' books! Thanks for the BR EnchantedWoods! :o)

I so loved reading this book! Especially the parts about Jojo, what a great woman!
Only a little sad because there's no really "Mimi's Remedies" book! That would be fantastic, won't you think?
