5 out of 10

I think this is geared toward a younger audience then myself. :)

Well read with some nice musical accents to go along with the story. Would be great for a young one to have the original stories and then read along with them.

I totally agree with BananaForce that this is geared toward a young audience but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It's a super quick listen (90 minutes) and it reminded me of reading some of the Frog & Toad stories when I was young. I could even see some of the drawings in my head as I listenend to the story.

I had to giggle at the story of Frog & Toad with the cookies. I could totally relate to the need for will-power and self-control. And then I had to laugh at Toad's list as I am a listmaker.

Thanks so much for sending this as an RABCK and for the surprise audio you put in there too! You should have seen her face when I held up the package and said "hey, this is for you. how'd that happen, it's suppose to be for me, isn't it?" and she gleefully tore it open.

Then she says "oh, it's movies" LOL! This was her first time seeing an audio book, but after I explained that no, it doesn't go into the tv that it's two of her favorite characters that she can listen to in the car or here at home... why then her face really lit up :o) Then I got quizzed on where one can find more of these kind of books. She's 7yrs old, by the way. Then when I mentioned Arnold Lobel himself was to be the reader, then she really got excited! Kid after my heart, heehee!

You've made her day and I'm so happy we kept this a surprise for her... thank you so much, alsgal!

* Putting this on the permanent shelf, this is where I put the BC books that come in for the kids until I get the okay from them to let it go again. Not to mention, it helps keep their stuff seperate from my TBRs here. Although she's already thinking about giving it to her best friend in school when she's done.
