The companion to the famous Harvard Dictionary of Music was prepared with a particular reader in mind - the layman in the best sense of the word, whether a student of music or a listener with a serious interest in music but without special training.

It provides a wide range of definitions, descriptions, and identifications, brief explanations of numerous individual works, operas, and symphonies, and many musical examples, charts and line drawings. The emphasis throughout is on music that one is most likely to play or to hear performed.

RABCK sent to HoserLauren in CANADA for her mass release in January! Glad I could help!

I received this from Tribefan for my University of Waterloo Mass Release. Obviously this one is going into one of the arts buildings. However, as I stated for another book, I'm not going to the building where all the music classes take place, because ... I'm too lazy! :) But it will go somewhere where it would still fit in!
Thanks for your help!

I was using a pay phone in the Arts Lecture Hall at the University of Waterloo and I looked up and there it was, on top of the phone. It was so weird and surprising, I NEVER use pay phones, I just happened to lend my phone to my boy friend today. I may send it to my sister at Simon Fraser Uni in B.C. We'll see!

CAUGHT IN WATERLOO ONTARIO CANADA

Journal Entry 6 by wingAnonymousFinderwing on Monday, January 30, 2006
As I was walking through the University of Waterloo, I happened to sit on a bench and there was the book:) Although it wasn't really a novel I could share enjoyment with, but rather a dictionary, I simply skimmed it, and now am about to release it at a local coffee shop by leaving it on the seat. This is a fanastic idea and a great treasure to have found:)
