Not nearly as weird as some of the other Sedaris books on my shelf. This one might make a good starter book; it could be a stepping stone to the kinds of essays in Me Talk Pretty One Day and Naked. My wife is about halfway through it, but I finished it about 2 minutes ago.

David Sedaris makes me so happy. I've read several of his books now and I don't want to keep repeating myself, so I'll just say that he makes me happy and I hope he'll make the other recipients of this book happy, too.
