Haven't read this since I was a child but remeber loving all NS's books. Picked this up in a charity shop after there'd been discusssion about NS on the BCUK list.

I read all of Noel Streatfeild's book as a child, so am hoping for a quick trip down memory lane! Will probably wild release it afterwards....

Reading this as an adult, I remember why I liked Noel Streatfield's books. The children are tenancious, stubborn, determined and eventually win through. The adults are either authority figures to be won over, or allies who help the children. Great stuff!
