I enjoyed this book! It was different and funny. I can't wait to read another book from this author. While all of the rules have value, my favorite rule is "While life occassionally makes it appear otherwise, no one has control over your life...but you. Make decisions with care, because in the end, you have only yourself to blame for the outcome."

Finished this up today. Corporate espionage and chick lit mixed. A modern retelling of the Cinderella story, complete with godmothers, a giant mansion, a fairy-tale ball, and a wicked Swede. The only thing missing was the glass slippers, oh wait, there was one of those too.

Will be mailing on to LaughAtlantis in the morning.

I never thought I would say this, but there was a little too much sex in this book for my tastes. While I liked the story itself, I sort of felt that I would like a little more plot, a little less tongue.

Wow, that makes me sound like a prude...

I have emailed Ap for her address and will send it on early next week.

I thought this was a nice piece of fluff, I liked the fact that the Heroine Darby wasn't your typical popular, beautiful girl. I like romances best when the heroine is kind of a mess. I have to disagree with you LA regarding the sex scenes, I say bring them on. I thought the writer did a good job with them. I enjoyed the romance part of the story much more than the espionage story line.
This author kind of reminds me of Jennifer Crusie's style. I am going to add her books to my wishlist now.
I will have this in the mail to Helly sometime this week. It will be surface so it may be a bit before it arrives.

i did enjoy this one, although i thought the ending was too abrupt...
I adored Darby and obviously Shane was fab.... but i wanted to see mre of the Godmothers, I loved what there was of them, but there just wasnt enough....
saomething there was plenty of though was sex!!!.... very steamy at times... especially in the department store...say no more lol!!

After I finish reading the book it is going to my best friend, jade405 and then I'll send it on to sunlightbub.

26 February 06: I thought that this book was more 'romance' than 'chick-lit'. And it was SO predictable...But it was a relaxing read (even though I didn't see much reason for 1/3 of the pages) and I hope sunlightbub will enjoy it more.

I was just recording this book on 43things and commented on it's pinkness - as I typed I though to myself 'I bet this started off with Nou!!!'

Anyway, i quite enjoyed this, but I thought the writing was horid in some places. I liked most of the mainn characters, but not the sub plot about the gemstones.

Thanks for sharing everyone-It's staying in England for a bit longer as it's now off to Camis xxx

I enjoyed this - a nice light read, although it did take me a while to get through it (having a bit of a reading slump at the minute!) Liked the main characters but thought the spy bit was a bit far fetched!

Will find another home for this soon.
