I read this book in two quick sittings last night. It was good. Not my usual type of reading, but an interesting story of a tragic love. Well written. I have jaynereader's address, so I'll mail it today.

Mailed to jaynereader via surface mail today. Enjoy!
It's arrive safe and sound, thanks all for sending it on. It's got one ring in front of it.
This is my first Jeanette Winterson book and I like her style a lot. This book was quite good but I want to read something else of hers to see if it gets any better. Thanks all, PMing next reader for their address.
I am glad for seeing this journal entry that reminded me I have sexing the cherry by the same author and should dig it out of my tbr pile to be passed around. I have not got back oranges from Prof Wendi back yet but will do when next we meet also.
Sent to bookmanu today, hope you like it!
It has arrived safely in Portugal! Thanks Rico-Verde / jaynereader.
I have started reading it already and am enjoying the story.
Will journal again soon.
arrived yesterday, thanks! Will pm Rico Verde to find out what should happen with it after I've read it.
Not my usual type of reading although I've read some of her other work. I found this interesting but a bit difficult to get into at times. I know another bookcrosser wants this so I'll get an address and pass it on.
on its way to Rossella05 today, apologies for the delay!
Arrived today, thanks pam99. I've read a couple of books by Jeanette Winterson before and enjoyed them very much so I'm looking forward to this one.
I had read 'Oranges are not the only fruit' and 'Sexing The Cherry' by Jeanette Winterson but 'The Passion' is definitely my favourite. I enjoy her unique style and lighthearted approach to complex themes. I'm looking forward to reading 'The Powerbook' currently on my TBR pile.
Sent to shimi in Norway as a RABCK. Hope it reaches you soon!
The book is already here! :)
Thanks a lot for sending it to me, Rossella05! I'm looking forward to reading it!

I gave the book to Leisha Camden at the bookcrossing meet-up in Oslo.
I got this book from Jannike at the Oslo meetup yesterday. I'm working on reading as many books from the 1001 list as I can, so this piqued my interest when I saw it on the table. :-) I've read Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit by the same author before, and it was a good book, although - I think - very different from this one. Should be interesting. :-)
I've finally read the book now. Here's my review:

I can't believe I still have this book ... !! :-o So sorry for keeping it so long! Now it's definitely time for it to travel again. I will bring it with me to the extra Oslo meetup this afternoon (in the honor of BCer Nordpirat who's visiting from Sweden :-). I will leave the book in the zone if it doesn't find a new reader at the meetup.
Happy travels, little book!!

Picked up at a book-crossing meet-up in Oslo. I've read a couple of other books by Winterson and I liked them a lot.

I think it is a good novel - mysterious, cruel and beautiful.
I liked this book a little less than the other Winterson-novels I've read. (Oranges are not the only fruit, Gut Symetrics and my so far favourite; Lighthousekeeping.)
But I think it is the story itself that didn't appeal to me as much. I like Wintersons superb way of using the language. She's an excellent writer.
Making a bookray with this book.

Lovely book, few people write like Jeanette Winterson does. There were so many things in it that I just had to write down; thoughts and metaphors - amazing how such a thin little book can contain so much.
And apart from the story itself I was very happy to read a book that has got ten Bookcrossing-years and several countries behind it (I also brought it on a trip to China), with little notes and stickers and messages in it. It makes it feel alive, like the physical book itself has a story to tell.
