I loved this book. IMO it was the best one in the series. I cried a little at the end because they were leaving each other.

A very good third (and ending?) in the series of the Traveling Pants. Although somewhat predictable it had enough turns in the story to keep you anticipating. I'm anxiously awaiting the movie of the first book and by the looks of the actresses they seem to have done a good job casting. Will be interesting to see how the pants look on each of them though!

I've just started a bookring on the second book and if there is interest I'll send this one on the same route. So for now I'm marking it as reserved but it will soon be back out in the bc community. Thanks for sharing!

I was really eager to read this third volume of the travelling pants, and I must say I wasn't disappointed :-) Bee, Tibby, Carmen and Lena have all grown up and on their way to college, but first they have to make some important decisions in their lives. Oh, it was really heart breaking at times, especially that last chapter when they spend their last weekend together, but I was quite happy with how things turned out for them. I know this is supposed to be the last volume of this series, but somehow I'm still hoping that Ms Brashares will write just one more ;-)

Will be passed on to mady tomorrow.

Already in my hands, getting ready for another trip: going to Hungary. I'm sure it'll be the perfect read for all the time I'll be spending in airports and airplanes :)
I'll let you know more once I'm back! Thanks a lot LGinder for everything!

Journal Entry 14 by mady from Reading, Berkshire United Kingdom on Thursday, June 16, 2005
We are back and both had a great time in Hungary. The pants and the 4 friends were the perfect company for me. I loved to read more about their adventures, new people they've met, previous acquaintances that showed up again... Bridget's and Lena's situations seemed quite familiar to me and so they were the ones that touched me the most on "this summer".
I sure hope there will be more books!!! And just today I saw the Portuguese version of this book in a bookshop window... I guess they are best sellers over here too :)

Journal Entry 15 by usedtobe on Thursday, June 16, 2005
This is now with me, I still have to read the second one but I promise to be quick about it. Thanks! :o)

Journal Entry 16 by usedtobe on Thursday, July 14, 2005
This one is probably the best in the series and I really can't believe it has ended. Will there be no more about the Sisterhood? I want to know what happens in college, I want to know how their lives unfold! I have to confess I cried a little in the end, their last weekend together was perfect and sad at the same time, nothing will ever be the same again. And did I mention I want more? :o)

Journal Entry 17 by Xana from Genève, Genève Switzerland on Thursday, July 21, 2005
It has just arrived :) I'll start it asap.
Virgulina, loved the stamps!

Journal Entry 18 by Xana from Genève, Genève Switzerland on Sunday, July 24, 2005
Is this really It? No more? Finito? The end? :(
As always, Bridget was the story I liked the most, it was special the way her relationship with Eric started from the beginning this time.
And Brian’s declaration just melted my heart, he’s my favourite of the guys, but Win was promising!

The book will be on its way across the Atlantic as soon as I get dantemiro’s address.

Journal Entry 19 by dantemiro from Chilliwack, British Columbia Canada on Saturday, August 20, 2005
Received as part of a bookcrossing ring. I enjoyed this book, despite the slighty predictable entourage of boys in the girls' lives and the sentimental ending. I likes the fact that the individual characters were developped strength-wise more. It had very good continuity from the previous two books. Could there possibly be a fourth in the works for us to enjoy?

Journal Entry 20 by knitwit from Yardley, Pennsylvania USA on Tuesday, September 6, 2005
Ooohhh! Look what I found in my mailbox today! I have one book in front of it but since I really want to be reading this one it just means I'll read the other one faster. Thanks for sharing this.

Journal Entry 21 by knitwit from Yardley, Pennsylvania USA on Sunday, September 18, 2005
A great entry in the Sisterhood saga! My favorite subplot in this one was Carmen and Valia and Carmen's struggle with Good Carmen. It makes sense for this book to the be the last but I can't help but wonder how their college years are going to unfold.

Thanks for sharing this book with me.

Journal Entry 23 by timollie5502 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA on Sunday, October 9, 2005
I loved this one - I thought it was much better than the second. My favorite sub-plot was with Bee, and her re-uniting with her old flame. Felt familar to me. I really hope that this wasn't the last in the series, as I have grown very fond of these girls.

Sending this on to the next participant 10/10/05.

Another great story about the Septembers! I liked this one a lot. You could really see how each girl has grown up and matured. I really enjoyed Carmen's storyline.

This is in the mail today to czersk.

Journal Entry 26 by Czersk from Roscoe, Minnesota USA on Wednesday, November 2, 2005
I was Really Happy to find this book in the mail. I Cannot Wait to read it. I love the first two books; I love the movie. It's going to be really good- I can feel it. Thanks everybody!

Journal Entry 27 by Czersk from Roscoe, Minnesota USA on Friday, November 4, 2005
Oh, how I love the pants. I set this book aside for the weekend, knowing it would be impossible to separate myself from, but I could not resist and smart, smart me picked it up on the night when I had an 8 am class. I'm not real bright. I was a zombie all day because I stayed up ALL night reading. It was just SO good. But the story . . .

The prologue made me cry. The first chapter too. They were all going off to college- something I just went through and was really hard for me. I expected to cry throughout the entire book, but the Septembers are just too funny to allow that to happen. I love the girls, and their guys almost equally as well ;D Am I the only one who was desperately wishing Kostos would show up out of the blue?? Especially after Valia mentioned he split with his wife? That was left somewhat open ended- perhaps to be continued in a fourth book?? We can all only hope.

I love the pants.

On to the next . . .

Arrived today! Wow! This book is well-traveled! I just finished reading book #2 off my TBR pile in preparation for this. Thank you for sharing!

Journal Entry 35 by heartsong2 on Sunday, March 4, 2007
Really enjoyed this book! This is my favorite line from it: "If their friendship demanded exclusivity or solitutde, it couldn't work. If it required that everything go as planned, it would turn brittle, and ultimately it would break. On the other hand, she knew that if they could be flexible and big, if they could encompass change, then they would make it." Very wise words, and often very difficult to live by.

I will pm msjoanna and get this sent of ASAP. Thank you for sharing with me!

Journal Entry 36 by heartsong2 on Wednesday, March 14, 2007
Posting this am to msjoanna!

Journal Entry 37 by msjoanna from Columbia, Missouri USA on Wednesday, March 21, 2007
This has arrived safely in NYC. I'm midway through a book, but will start this one next -- probably this weekend. Thanks for sharing.

Journal Entry 38 by msjoanna from Columbia, Missouri USA on Wednesday, March 28, 2007
I liked this book much better than the second book, and maybe even better than the first book. I really like the fact that these characters mature through the different books -- one of my most common complaints with YA series novels is that the characters get older but don't otherwise develop. Again, I got close to the end, then couldn't put the book down until it was over. It's a good thing these books move quickly.

I'm really looking forward to the fourth book. It's great to read these in quick sequence like this. Thanks again for organizing, sweetybeans.

I posted this book to Smurphie today.

Journal Entry 39 by smurphie from Banchory, Scotland United Kingdom on Tuesday, April 3, 2007
Arrived yesterday. Yikes not quite finished the 2nd one. Must get that done so I don't hold up this ring.

Journal Entry 40 by smurphie from Banchory, Scotland United Kingdom on Sunday, April 15, 2007
A brilliant book. Bring on more of the Sisterhood and what an ending. I had a lump in my throat.

Away to Pm the next participant in the Ring :)

RELEASE NOTES:

Heading off to The Netherlands as part of the bookring.

Journal Entry 42 by rapturina from Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland Netherlands on Wednesday, April 25, 2007
It's here! Thanks Smurphie, for being so speedy about sending!

Interestingly enough, this book arrived together with the 2nd one in the series that I'm reading via another bookring, so now I can read them back to back. :D

Journal Entry 43 by rapturina from Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland Netherlands on Saturday, May 5, 2007
I really enjoyed this book! Well, I love the whole series 'cause they're just very well written and I can recognize myself a little bit in each of the four main characters, even though I am about ten years older than they are. :D

Looking forward to the fourth one!

EDIT: In the mail to collectorkerri as of May 14th!

Journal Entry 44 by collectorkerri from Springfield, Illinois USA on Wednesday, May 23, 2007
Received today. Will read ASAP.

Journal Entry 45 by collectorkerri from Springfield, Illinois USA on Sunday, June 10, 2007
I was sad when the girls had their last weekend together before going off to college. Like sweetybeans, I think this one was originally conceived as the last in the series but the author couldn't let go of the Septembers just yet. I noticed that the Pants did not figure too heavily in this book, and I was glad--friends don't necessarily need a physical object to bind them together, and besides, the characters seemed to attribute too much power to the Pants anyway. I look forward to reading the fourth book; and I think I heard that the second movie is soon to appear.
Sent to Rrrcaron yesterday.

Journal Entry 46 by Rrrcaron from Lancaster, New Hampshire USA on Sunday, June 17, 2007
Received this in the mail yesterday. I have a few to read beforehand, but it shouldn't take long.

Journal Entry 47 by Rrrcaron from Lancaster, New Hampshire USA on Friday, July 20, 2007
These books just keep getting better. I wish there was another one coming. I would love to see how they all adapt to college life. In fact, I could read on and on and watch them all grow old, hopefully, together! Like usual, I laughed and also shed a few tears throughout the read. This was my favorite of the three. Why does it have to end????? Sending on to next in line. Thanks SO much for sharing this wonderful series of books!

Journal Entry 52 by ivylibra224 from Kimberling City, Missouri USA on Monday, August 20, 2007
I think I enjoyed the first two better, but the ending was fabulous! There were just too many times that I knew what was going to happen next. This book is on its way to missprisy (along with a surprise).
