Journal Entry 1 by Martie-Kr from Mentor, Ohio USA on Wednesday, March 02, 2005
This one was a little gorier than the writer's usual fair. That aside, it wasn't a bad little mystery. As usual, Jacobia manages to get herself embroiled in a murder and drags her friend Ellie along for the ride. From the back: Christmas is just weeks away, but what Jacobia "Jake" Tiptree discovers at Faye Anne Carmody's house is far from restive: a dazed Faye Anne covered with blood. Her no-good husband, Merle--Eastport's butcher and least-loked citizen--is nowhere in sight. Nowhere, that is, until Jake finds his body--wrapped in his own butcher paper. It looks like an open-and-shut case, but Jake isn't convinced. Too many detials don't add up--and the answers may lie in a diary that Faye Anne's boyfriend claims is hidden in her house. Then another resident turns up dead, and Jake knows the bloody trail doesn't begin--or end--with Merle. Jake had planned to spend the winter rehabilitating her old house--but now she'll have to work on nailing a killer before her beloved town gets even smaller......

Journal Entry 3 by Metropolitan from São Paulo, São Paulo Brazil on Saturday, August 06, 2005
I accepted this book on the relay and FamFatale kindly organized an m-bag to send lots of books together to Brazil, this one included. Thanks Fam! While I'm here "waves hello to Martie-Kr" This will be my second Sarah Graves book. It's a great way to refresh my home repair vocabulary! I try to convince my students that reading is the cheapest way of learning (and updating) English but they are not very enthusiastic readers (yet, I hope).

Forgot to say I loved the sticker: "This book belongs to A BookCrossing Addict!" I'll have to make a few of my own...
