I finally got around to reading this book. I absolutely LOVED it. Almost as good as Mists of Avalon. I found one very rare historical factual error made by the author (the author had Augustine's living about 250 years before he was). But it did not lessen the pleasure of the book at all.

Took me a while to open this one up even though I knew I would love it. I agree it is almost as good as Mists of Avalon. My friend Patth really knows her history!

I'm taking it on the road to San Francisco where I will leave it at the Hotel Rex on Thanksgiving Day. Not sure where in the hotel.
