Recommended by a friend who is big on this sort of thing. Never did manage to get into it.

Released on Saturday, September 14, 2002 at Pequod's restaurant in Morton Grove, Illinois USA.

Left on top of the paper towel roll in the women's restroom while waiting for our pizza. It was still there when we left.

I found this book in the ladies restroom of a bar and pizza place in a Chicago suburb. I was intrigued so I took the book home. My boyfriend felt that the book was meant to come to me, especially since we happened to go out later than usual and wouldn't normally have been at the restaurant at that time. I haven't read it yet, but I will read it as soon as I finish the book I'm currently reading. And then I will pass it on.

I finally got started on this book, which I found in the ladies room at Pequod's Pizza. I had just started a long book at that point so I didn't start Women Who Run with the Wolves right away.

The first chapter is difficult. If you can get past that, it gets much more interesting. The basic theory is that all women have a "wild woman" inside, which is your spiritual, instinctual, creative, artistic, passionate part. Alas, many women are bound by society's constraints and don't get to know or free their wild sides. The author, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, uses various folktales and myths to illustrate aspects of the Wild Woman and how we can find the Wild Woman within each of us. I'm into this book about 150 pages now and I'm finding it pretty interesting. I'll write more as I go along. I'm glad I found this book.
