7 out of 10

A contemporary tragedy, with a sad and surprising end, told from the points of view of the two protagonists: Kathy, a self destructing young woman and colonel Behrani, who tries to build a new life for his family in the U.S.A.
My problem with this book was strictly personal. I couldn't feel any simpathy for Kathy: she made a mess of her life (TWICE), she couldn't face it and she blamed others for her problems... not my kind of girl.

9 out of 10

I have decided to write another feedback on this book. The story stayed on my mind for the past few days, and I just realised that I liked it more than I hated it. Despite the fact that the characters are so hard to like, I found the story to be original and hard to forget. It is seldom that a book comes on my mind while I'm reading another book.
But I do think that Kathy is so hard to like. I also think that she destroyed her life, as well as other people's lives. The end of the book was so shocking, and the reader can only hate Kathy for that. Thanks, quico, for giving me the opportunity to read this. I'll send it off to theadi as soon as I get a response with their address :-)

8 out of 10

Finished this two days ago - what an interesting read!
I spent a quite a bit of my reading time trying to decide who I thought had the greatest right to the house, and I still can't quite make up my mind. I feel like Kathy has the legal right to the house, but I was leaning more towards letting the Behrani's keep it. I don't know why.
I don't know how I feel about Kathy... others are saying they didn't like her, but I don't think I actually dislike her - it's more of a lack of connection. I was more annoyed by Lester than by Kathy.
Anyway, thankyou for sharing!
Will PM Mochagirl for her address, then send it on.

9 out of 10

Released 6 yrs ago (9/16/2005 UTC) at Medibank, Martin Place in Sydney, New South Wales Australia

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I found this incredibly compelling - one of those really tragic stories where you can only watch it all spiral out of control (and wish the characters would actually talk to each other).

RELEASE NOTES:

Left on one of the waiting benches.

Hi, haven't read it yet, but just wanted to say thanks for introducing me to this wonderful world! I am releasing a book today - Tom Robins' Jitterbug Perfume. What a neat idea.
