A bit cheesy (or saccharine?) really and you can tell the book is sponsored by Cadbury in Birmingham! Nobody ever has a bad word to say about working in a factory, or more to the point on an assembly line! The story focuses around 3 friends, mainly during the WW2 period, who all work at the factory. They all initially seem to meet and fall in love with men who are totally wrong for them and go through many traumas before things are married up nicely in the end.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

Picked this book up from the OBCZ bookshelf in Costa Coffee whilst having lunch with a friend, but on impulse decided to leave it here for someone else to find as my TBR pile is HUGE. It's tucked behind the lion outside the Council House - happy hunting!

Wow - I can't believe I found this book on one of the Lions in the Old Market Square.

One of my rather batty, nay needy, twice nay bookcrossingobsessed friends said she would leave it there during a blanket release, coz I'd left one there a month or so ago which disappeared but hasn't been journalled.

Not sure I'll read it but otherwise will theme release it.

I picked this book up in Chocolate Utopia, my friend who owns the shop passed it onto me. It has taken me a while to get around to finishing the book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the Chocolate Girls, their lives in the factory, personal experiences through WWII and their various relationships with different men which changed their lives. Romantic novel, with a good ending.
