Being a hugely distractible person, it often takes me so long to make it through books and I'm often reading 5-10 books at any given time. However, this was a nice piece of Sci-fi brain-candy that I easily and quickly burned thru over a couple days. Enough plot and intrigue to both hold my attention and propel me to keep turning the pages to see what was next. The author throws out some interesting speculations and extrapolations in her vision of the future (an America that's formally turned into a theocracy) that I don't see as being too far off the direction we're heading ;).

I was given this book for free (a promo-copy from the author who's local to Mpls), but it sat on my bookshelf well over a year until this week. I also have the sequel, which I'm jumping right into. Fun read - a nice break from some of the heavy-lifting type of reads I've been otherwise immersed in lately, and not a huge time/attention committment.
