A nice easy read. The plot was nothing much to get excited about but that didn't surprise me. I generally read this series for its settings, characters and gentle humour. And the cats.
The epitome of a cozy mystery. I was glad of one thing, though - the fact that a local play production didn't feature in this story. There was a bit of a hint of one, but it wasn't prominent, thank goodness. The reason I say this is because it has popped up in a few books in this series, already.
