9 out of 10

This is a classic of 20th Century literature, by German author Hermann Hesse. The Glass Bead Game is a complex game played by scholars who are trained from childhood. The novel deals with many philosophical concepts, and can be a challenging read, although I think it is very rewarding. I remember reading it many years ago on a train trip through some mountains in Japan, and the experience has stayed with me forever. This is an additional copy that I am releasing.
