My friend's mother was reading this book earlier this summer and suggested I read it. When I inquired her about the meaning of the title, she told me that the red tent was the place where women in the Old Testement went during their periods and proceeded to tell me that the book was about women in Bible times. This book definitely caught my attention from the first chapter; it was very well written and the language and details were amazing - the right diction and just enough description to not be too wordy. It is truly an amazing book. Even if you are not into Bible times, it will give you a new respect for being female.
