Thanks for the book Curcord. I know just who to share it with next. I just met a woman today who is starting her own animal rescue...rescueing cats and dogs that are about to be put down by the animal shelters in her area. She may not have much time to read right now but she may enjoy this.

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You Curcord! This is an emotional and insprirational book. I can't even count the number of times that there were tears streaming down my face. I have several people who I want to read this book! FROM THE PUBLISHER From the time she was a child, picking up stuffed animals that had fallen from a department store shelf, to the day she stepped through the doors of the Humane Society of Santa Clara Valley in California, Terri Crisp seemed driven by destiny to save animals in trouble. Out of Harm's Way is the unforgettable story of how she began her life's work, and of the often miraculous, sometimes heartbreaking, but always courageous rescues she achieved along the way. In the darkest moments of disaster, Terri Crisp has generated the most lasting memories of her life. Complete with heartwarming photographs and an invaluable resource section for rescuing and aiding animals in disaster situations, Out of Harm's Way is her passionate story: the deeply moving, inspiring account of one woman's desire to give the greatest gifts of all - love, care, and unending devotion - to aid in the survival of all our animal friends, great and small. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be given to United Animal Nations.

what an amazing book! what an amazing woman! what amazing animals! I laughed, I cried. I want Albert! (I probably want all the animals) Terri Crisp does everything that i want to do. I used to volunteer with our injured wildlife, but that was before i went back to working 6 days a week and being a mum. But that wont stop me. When my kids are older and my hubby can then go back to fulltime work, ill hopefully not be working sat's anymore, so i can volunteer at an animal refuge again. This book is so inspirational. Its got me fired up again. I need to get a copy of this for my PC, cos everytime i feel dejected about not being with animals, ill just pick this up and be put on the right track again. thankyou so much noumena12 for letting me read this book. Ive given it a 10 and i will always remember this great book. (have also checked out her website. has a lot of great info. may be a regular there i think). Will be going out to suebo this week with her relay book.
