Journal Entry 1 by Pyan from Menasha, Wisconsin USA on Saturday, February 05, 2005

The theme of this box is "red" so any book with red on the front cover, or having the word "red" in the title, or the word "red" somewhere on the first page of the book is okay. If you use the red cover choice, remember that it doesn't have to be ALL red ... just a little red on the front will do.

It's just a theme so have fun with it. As long as you don't put in Harlequin type romances & children's books, most any connection to red will be just fine.

I've created a BCID for this box to we can keep track of it easier.

Please list the books you take out & the books you put into the box in your journal entry here in addition to the usual journaling of each individual book.

Please try not to keep the box more than two weeks maximum. Thank you :)

Here's the traveling order (and there's a list in the box itself as well).

Journal Entry 10 by Rita-Booke from Bartlett, Tennessee USA on Tuesday, March 15, 2005

Bookbox arrived today, lucky me!
I have looked through all the offerings (a couple times now, in case you are counting) and have found 3 books to add to my reading list.
Taking from the box:
Stand-in for Murder (from twiggywig), because I am just getting my toes wet on mysteries, and this looks like a small, enjoyable one for a beginner like me;
Presumed Innocent (from Pyan) because reading about someone else's obsessions makes mine seem a little more trivial =); and
The Perfect Storm (from Pyan) because I am probably the only person in America who has not seen the movie and it sounds like a very good, on-the-edge-of-my-seat read.

Here are the books I will give to take up the travels from here:

Must Love Dogs by Claire Cook - A recent divorce puts Sarah back in the dating pool, but she's reluctant about even getting her feet wet. Luckily a new dog means a new vet, but will they ever overcome all the obstacles keeping them not just apart, but at odds, too?

The Pull of the Moon by Elizabeth Berg - When Nan turns fifty she has what most would call a mid-life crisis. Her reaction is to take to the road, hoping to find if not herself, then at least a reason to turn around and go home to her husband.

Uncle Fred in the Springtime: A Blandings Story by P.G. Wodehouse - There is so much that happens in a Wodehouse story, that I can't write a little blurb on my own. Instead, let me give you the synopsis on the back cover: The loony Duke of Dunstable has already destroyed his nephew's sitting room and the same fate awaits Blandings Castle unless Lord Emsworth hands over his beloved pig, the Empress, to his unwanted guest. His only hope is Uncle Fred, who calls upon his financially stripped nephew Pongo Twistleton to help out with a little pig-snitching . . .

I hope the next readers of my books enjoy them as much as I did!
