Book 2 in the Falco series

This book begins 11 days after the end of the first book. Falco is now an Imperial agent for Vespasian and has to clean up the mess that started in The Silver Pigs. The story had a few obvious twists but it continues to build the romance between Helena Justina and Falco. The relationships between the characters is what makes this series endearing. The story itself is a little too convoluted and tedious, but I still want to keep reading because Falco and the rest of the cast are believeable.

It will take some weeks to get the next book because it's almost out of print, but I'm looking forward to it.
