sounds wacky, yet strangely intriguing...
I could not get into this AT ALL. I nearly gave up on it a couple of times, and only through sheer stubborn will did I finish it. I just had to know whether it got better...
I'm sure if I gave this some conscious deep thought, I could come up with some themes of self-image, individualism, our materialistic society, or work out how the photos in the book are connected to the story, but frankly I couldn't be bothered ;)
I hope someone, somewhere out there gets something out of this book, and journals it for goodness' sake, because I'm struggling to come up with any redeeming qualities :(

Picked up from the meetup today at Stones Corner. It looks strange and intriguing. I've read a few books before that were translated from Japanese and they were slightly off-kilter. I hope I have better luck with this one than 9moons did.
