I think I tried this once as a teenager, but didn't get into it. It's sat on my shelves ever since, with me feeling slightly guilty for not reading such an australian classic.
Time for it to go out and guilt trip someone else! ;)

Robbery Under Arms is the classic novel of Australian in teh 1850s. Cattle-thieving, stage-coach hold-ups and bank robberies were among the infamous achievements of the reprobate Marston family and Captain Starlight. Against the setting of the bush and gold-fields of early Australia, those lawless and wild times are brilliantly brought to life by Rold Boldrewood, who had himself been a squatter, a police magistrate and warder of the gold-fields, and knew thoroughly the life he described.
Argh. How can I release a book that uses "reprobate" on the back cover blurb??
