It took me awhile to get in to this book then I put it down for a long time and finally just finished reading it. I ended up liking this book, reading about Lebanese immigrants in Australia and seeing what their perception of Australia is. Written in a humourous tone, a bit like My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Not sure of my release plans for this one yet.

This was received as a surprise extra from michyj, thanks! :) From what I've read on the back cover, this seems interesting enough, and should be a fun read. Here's the blurb: A richly comic novel of baclawa, belly dancing and Lebanese love. "When Naiim's family swaps war-torn Beirut for the dark heart of Melbourne's western suburbs, all hopes are pinned on the youngest daughter becoming a doctor. But first she must impress the Dean of the medical school, Professor Maclean ... Not easy to do when your family members - a disgraced older sister, banished to a one-room apartment in Sydney, twin brothers who both share the same girlfriend and a business which involves boxes in constant transit between hiding places, and a restauranteur father who can't keep his hands off the hired help - are finding the new landscape of suburban Melbourne even more perilous to negotiate than a Lebanese cease-fire. Seduction beckons as her only weapon, and so a new belly dance begins..."

I found the book waiting for me in a gym locker at Fitness First Chadstone. It made a change from finding other people's old socks anyway!! I'm off to NZ for a holiday, so think I'll take the book with me to the airport... CAUGHT IN MELBOURNE VICTORIA AUSTRALIA
