"The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a murder mystery novel like no other. The detective, and narrator, is Christopher Boone. Christopher is fifteen and has Asperger's, a form of autism. He knows a very great deal about maths and very little about human beings. He loves lists, patterns and the truth. He hates the colours yellow and brown and being touched. He has never gone further than the end of the road on his own, but when he finds a neighbour's dog murdered he sets out on a terrifying journey which will turn his whole world upside down."
Whatever you do, do not read this book on public transport unless you're happy to cry in public. You'll cry and be happy in equal measures and be angry at the world that Christopher has to deal with. It's an amazing book - one of the best I've read in a long time. Everyone should read this.
Updated 7 February: On its way to tabby90 after I spotted it on her wishlist!

Thanks gothmarcus, got in the mail today.
I've had too many books for too long. Time for deep cuts to MT TBR. Getting this moving on to another reader.
